Nigerian students have reacted to a recent tweet by singer Yemi Alade over school resumption as the second wave of the coronavirus pandemic hits the country.
Taking to her Twitter page, the Johnny crooner stated that she doesn't think that universities should open yet.
According to her, there is a new strain. Yemi noted that if schools are to open, every returning student must be offered free covid tests, sanitisers, facemasks, and overalls.

Noting how crowded classrooms in Nigerian universities can be, the singer asked how possible it is for 100 people to practice social distancing.
Yemi said she's confused as to how the government wants universities to open without providing safety kits for students.
As expected, the singer's tweet got different reactions from Nigerian students who are mostly concerned. While some supported her opinion, others said they cannot continue to stay at home.
