Before Nigeria was hit by the COVID-19 pandemic, Governor Dapo Abiodun of Ogun state was a clean-shaven man, always spotted with his characteristic "Awolowo" cap.

However, since Nigeria confirmed its index case of COVID-19 in February 2020, the Ogun state governor is one of those who have consistently worn face mask, leaving people in the dark concerning his current "facial outlook".
Thus, social media was awash with reactions when Governor Abiodun was seen spotting "white beards" in the new pictures he dropped alongside his New Year message on Friday, January 1.
Some even said the Ogun state governor, with his new look, resembles the minister of labour and employment, Chris Ngige.
