Joy Chico Ejiro recently broke her silence following the tragic death of her husband and Nollywood filmmaker, Chico Ejiro.

In a recent Instagram post, the bereaved wife expressed shock and pain over the loss of her dear husband whose contribution to Nollywood was immense.

According to her, his death came to her as a rude shock and recounted how they spoke out how grateful they were to God for keeping them alive.

She revealed in the heartbreaking post that the Nollywood icon died in her arms.

"This is a rude shock!!!!!!!! We had a lot of plans for Christmas, we spoke a lot about how the day will go, we were recounting how GOD has been good to us this year and how grateful we are to be alive, I never knew it was going to be my last midnight gist with you. You died in my hands Chico, you left me so confused and devastated.
In all, I thank GOD for giving me the opportunity to spend the last 26yrs with you, you were a selfless man who was a wonderful husband and a great father. I'm consoled by the beautiful life you lived and the impact you made in the movie industry and all that crossed your path. You will forever be in our hearts. Till we meet again my Baby Boy, I will have plenty gist for you my best friend."

Nollywood was thrown into great mourning after Chico Ejiro, died in the early hours of Christmas day.

Channel TV reports that his remains have been taken to the mortuary, adding that his death came after he directed a movie on Thursday, December 24.

Also a screenwriter and director, he was born in Delta state. The same media said that he has the highest number of movies under his belt, having produced 85 home videos.
