APC expels 6 members for allegedly refusing to withdraw lawsuit at appellate court
The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Enugu state has expelled six members for allegedly disregarding the party’s directive.

According to Leadership, the expulsion of the members was announced on Thursday, December 18, at a political meeting.
A chieftain of the party, Ben Nwoye said the decision was reached as a result of the failure of those concerned to withdraw the lawsuit against the party as directed by the National Executive Committee (NEC).
He said the expelled members include:
1. Okey Ogbodo
2. Chike Omeje,
3. Rufus Nwagu,
4. Rev. Onuorah,
5. Ndubuisi Ani
6. Chinedu Okosisi
Nwoye alleged that the affected violated the resolution of the NEC to withdraw their cases at the appellate court.
He said:
“The committee led by Chief Anike Nwoga after their investigation recommended the expulsion of these members that failed to respect the decision of the party and this has been communicated to the national legal adviser of the party.”
Meanwhile, the national caretaker committee of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has appointed Chief John Odigie-Oyegun as the chairman of its south-south reconciliation committee.
Odigie-Oyegun, a respected politician from Edo state, is a former national chairman of the APC.
The Nation reports that this was disclosed in a communique signed by the secretary of the committee, Lucky Imasuen, shortly after a meeting of the party leaders from the south-south geopolitical zone in Abuja on Wednesday, December 16.
In another news, the governors elected on the platform of the APC have commended the leadership, vision, and commitment of President Muhammadu Buhari to a united and prosperous Nigeria.
Leadership reports that the governors restated their confidence that under the current administration, Nigeria would be able to resolve its national security challenges and restore peace in every part of the country, despite the current crisis.
The APC governors in a message issued on Thursday, December 17, signed by the chairman of Progressives Governors' Forum (PGF), Kebbi state governor, Abubakar Atiku Bagudu, said the president will not fail Nigerians.
He accused the expelled politicians of attempting to change the leadership of the party.
