Gospel singer Bouqui shares coronavirus recovery story

- Music star Bouqui has taken to social media with a touching narration of her experience with COVID-19

- The musician said she battled with the virus along and has to find an alternative means to stay occupied

- Bouqui assured her fans well-wishers that she is now in a better place as she stressed the importance of staying at home

Another Nigerian celebrity, Bouqui, is a coronavirus survivor and she has now taken to social media with a narration of her experience while battling the life-threatening virus.

The gospel musician disclosed that she caught the virus a while ago but did not want to share the news as she isn’t a fan of a ‘pity-party’. Bouqui, however, noted that such things as depression, loneliness and other complications of the virus truly happened to her.

According to the singer, she had to find something of interest to occupy her mind while battling the virus and she chose to set up a gym in her home.

"I decided to find a project to occupy my mind. So I built a gym. How did I do. Ordered the equipment and set everything up myself.. a NEEDED DISTRACTION. So with all the weakness and stuff I knew if I lay down.... I could die."

Narrating further, Bouqui recounted how she got flashes of past events in her life that were all together negative. She, however, managed to keep the thoughts away after occupying herself with the gym project.

The singer also noted that her social life is now over as she called on people to check on others especially if they become absent.

“The only social thing I do. So this is goodbye to my social life. Staying at home by choice is not the same thing as having to stay at home. Check on people if you don't see them. Not only when you need something.”

Concluding the post, Bouqui assured well-wishers that she is getting better and urged people to stay home if they have no important business outside.
