Mikel Arteta will be relieved of his duties as manager of Arsenal if they lose to Burnley in their next Premier League game, according to Troy Deeney.
The north London are just three points relegation spot in 15th position following their 2-0 loss to table-toppers Tottenham.
Arsenal's next point of call is a Europa League fixture with Irish club Dundalk before coming back to the Emirates to play Sean Dyche's men.
And Watford striker Deeney believes the pressure is now on the Spanish boss which could cost him his job if they lose to the Clarets.
The SunSport columnist told TalkSPORT quoted by The Sun:
"I fancied Arsenal to get a result [against Tottenham] because they're that kind of team to just pull one out the bag.
"But Arsenal are in trouble. They're very much in trouble.
"I'm happy it's at home [vs Burnley] but if they were playing Burnley away this week I'd be very nervous for them.
"Arteta has come under immense criticisms because of where they are on the Premier League table.
"I'll go out on a limb here and if they lose next week he's massively under pressure.
"If they lose and the ones around them win and they're more looking backwards rather than upwards he'd be under pressure to keep his job."

Meanwhile, Legit.ng had earlier reported that Jose Mourinho has defended Mikel Arteta after the north London derby went in favour of Tottenham.
Arsenal continued to struggle on the domestic scene after losing the game by 2-0 courtesy of two first half goals from Son Heung-min and Harry Kane.
The Gunners remain in the bottom half of the table while Mourinho's men maintained top spot with goal-difference despite Liverpool's win over Wolves.
Despite arsenal's impressive performance, they could not break Tottenham's resistance and Mourinho has leaped to the defence of Arteta to bounce back.
