Highlights from wedding of celebrity jeweller Malivelihood to Deola Smart
The wedding of celebrity jeweller, Olusola Awujoola known popularly as Malivelihood to the daughter of Senator Smart Adeyemi, Deola Smart, in Abuja on Saturday, December 5, 2020, has taken wedding ceremony to another level.
Tagged the royal wedding, the event was what many would think can only happen in the dreamland. From the wedding dress to the wedding cake, souvenirs, decorations, to the guests and then you can talk about the food and drinks.
It was a gathering of who-is-who in Nigeria, from politics to business, entertainment and then fashion.

Wedding Dress
Deola Smart's wedding dress is a diamond-encrusted gown. Her veil has her late mum’s name encrusted in diamonds.
Wedding Cake
The wedding cake is a royal castle that is a 48 feet tall cake made up of 36 tiers, 180kg of icing sugar. It contains thousands of sugar flowers.
It was baked by Cakes by LA after four months of planning, 125 active days, and 18 bakers to make. It's resourced and sourced from five different countries and took months of brainstorming. The bride boasted that the cake cost N4 million only.
Wedding vow
During the church wedding, the groom, Malivelihood boss, decided to say his wedding vow the way he wants it to be as against the conventional way.

"For better or for worse, for richer or for richer", he chose as against the traditional "for richer or for poorer". His bride, Deola gave him a thumb up for his choice of a vow.
Souvenirs
Legit.ng reported that a Lexus car was given to a lucky winner, Austin, who was a cab driver until then. Some other guests also received Hublot wristwatches among other luxury items as souvenirs from the royal wedding.
Music
DJ Gabby was the official DJ of the wedding and he dished out music from all genres to the wild admiration of guests at the party.
There were also performances from Nigerian superstar, Davido, the one, and only Omo Baba Olowo, and Zlatan Ibile.
Decoration
The decoration was to create a European royalty wedding theme and this was delivered by the event decor and florist, Alveena Events.
Two thousand BAGs of live flowers were delivered with six trucks to create the desired effect.
