Nigerian singer Davido has gone emotional as his artist Mayorkun gets listed in the same category as him.
The music label, Davido Music Worldwide (DMW), boss could not hide his excitement as his 'boy' was named in the Artiste of the Year category with the likes of himself, Burna Boy, Wizkid, and Tiwa Savage.
This is a great feat for Mayorkun and worth celebrating by his boss, Davido who tweeted:
"LIL BRO LEVELED UP!!! I’m emotional!!"
His tweet generated various reactions from both artists' fans.

To the above tweet a follower @ratedtwit replied that: "Davido will be cashing out real big and even sleeping in icebox. Davido no care as far as e go bring money"
Xblaze1998 also replied to the tweet saying: "Davido would be so glad cos he has been really growing Mayo for years so he would be so proud"
Another set of fans said Mayorkun is better than Wizkid who is in the same category as Mayorkun and Davido.

Some weeks back, Legit.ng reported that Davido during an interview with The Shade Room said his signee, Mayorkun, is the biggest music star in the world.
It is no longer news that fans and music lovers have been known to pitch the three biggest artistes in the country, Davido, Burna Boy and Wizkid, against one another.
During the interview, Davido gave an unexpected answer when he was asked who he would say was the biggest artiste globally between him, Wizkid and Burna Boy. The DMW boss said his signee, Mayorkun, was the biggest and went ahead to spell his name for the interviewer. He added that he was Mayorkun of Lagos.
The interviewer was obviously surprised by his response as well as many Nigerians in the comment section.
In another news, after six successful years in the music industry, Nigerian singer Adewale Mayowa Emmanuel aka Mayorkun recently took to his page on Instagram with a video in which he briefly talked about his career in the entertainment industry.
Mayorkun disclosed that he used to be a banker but eventually had to quit because he never liked the job. The music star said he decided to chase after his dreams of becoming a singer after he quit his job, and he has been happy ever since he made the decision.
