Justice Abang granted the application and adjourned the case to Tuesday, December 8, for a continuation of trial.

In a report by The Cable, Maina was brought before the court by operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) three months after he jumped bail and went into hiding.

It was gathered that Maina, who is on trial for alleged money laundering to the tune of N 2 billion, had stopped attending court proceedings back in September.

The judge, therefore, revoked Maina’s bail and remanded Senator Ali Ndume who stood as Maina's surety to prison.
