What has been regarded as a cold war between the minister of interior, Rauf Aregbesola, and the governor of Osun, Adegboyega Oyetola, was on Thursday, December 3, put to an end.
This happened when the duo attended a meeting at Ila Oragun part of the state in which they had talks with the national leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Bola Ahmed Asiwaju Tinubu.
Although details of the meeting were not revealed to journalists, Aregbesola on his Twitter page disclosed that Tinubu advised him and his successor on how to tackle issues bordering on security.

The minister tweeted:
"Earlier today, I arrived the @StateofOsun with my entourage from the @MinofInteriorNG to begin my Stakeholders’ Engagement Meeting with different stakeholders in the state as directed by President @MBuhari.
"Our entourage paid a courtesy visit to our leader and father, Baba Bisi Akande, alongside Governor of the @StateofOsun, Alhaji @GboyegaOyetola in Ila Orangun. Baba advised us on #Endsars, insecurity amongst other issues!"
Meanwhile, Oyetola had claimed that he had divine encounters twice where God assured him that he would be the governor of Osun state.
Oyetola made the claim when he spoke at a thanksgiving service held to commemorate the second anniversary of his administration at a church in Osogbo on Sunday, November 29.
He said the Ileri Oluwa slogan (the will of God must be done) which has become the mantra of his administration, was given to him by God.
He said:
“The administration was founded by God Himself, and I will tell you why. I am ordinarily, not one who sees visions, but on two occasions, I had a strange encounter."
Oyetola narrated how he had a dream about a Christian song in which the last line says Ileri Oluwa ni lati se (the will of God must be done).
He said prior to the dream, he had never heard about that song before.
