Sade Ale: Kidnapped wife of Akeredolu's chief of staff released

- Sade Ale, the kidnapped wife of Olugbenga Ale, the chief of staff to Ondo state governor Rotimi Akeredolu, has regained her freedom

- Some reports say she was rescued by members of the newly-formed local security outfit, Amotekun

- The commandant of the outfit, Adeleye, confirmed they played a role in her rescue and promised details will be revealed in due time

The wife of Governor Rotimi Akeredolu's chief of staff, Olugbenga Ale, who was kidnapped days ago has been released by her abductors.

The Cable reports that Sade Ale, who was abducted at Owena area of Ondo state, was confirmed released on Saturday, November 28 by a government official.

The unnamed official also refused to confirm if any ransom was paid before she was released.

The traumatized woman was said to be currently admitted to a hospital where she is receiving treatment.

On its part, Vanguard, also confirming the release of the abducted woman, reported that the newly-formed local security outfit Amotekun reportedly rescued her.

It claimed that some of the kidnappers were arrested by the personnel of the security outfit.

The national newspaper reported that the kidnap which occurred on Thursday night was reported to Amotekun and the group swung into action.

It quoted the commandant of the Amotekun Corps, Chief Adetunji Adeleye, as confirming the release of the victim with Amotekun's help.

Adetunji said a press briefing would be held to explain how the victim was rescued.

The report further quoted an Amotekun source close to the operation as saying Sade Ale was rescued by local hunters attached to the security outfit.

"I can confirm to you that the wife of the Chief of Staff has secured her freedom and on her way to Akure.

Legit.ng reported On Friday, November 27 that barely 24 hours after a traditional monarch was murdered in Ondo state, suspected kidnappers abducted wife of the chief of staff to Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, Olugbenga Alex.

Ale's wife was kidnapped by the gunmen on Thursday, November 26, at Owena are of the state.
