Mohammed Adamu, the inspector general of police, has warned that no form of EndSARS protest will be condoned again in the country.
IGP Adamu issued this warning on Friday, November 27, in Abuja during a meeting with commissioners of police across the 36 states.
He said no protest under any guise will be allowed, saying "we have prepared to face them."
Speaking further, the police boss said the force's operatives protected the EndSARS protesters but the demonstration later turned violent, leading to the wanton destruction of properties and breaking of orders.
He urged "well-meaning Nigerians" to join hands to prevent recurrence of the violence, adding that many people have been arrested as far as Kaduna after escaping from prison.
“We will never allow this type of #EndSARS protests again. It was violent. Peaceful protest is allowed in our constitutions. When this process started peacefully, we provided security for them. We were moving with them to make sure they were not molested by any group of people and it was going on well until it turned violent.
“When it turned violent, they then attacked the people that were even giving them protection. So, we shall never allow any violent protest in this country again. When you talk of peaceful protests, yes, it is allowed but violent protests, never!"

Meanwhile, Femi Adesina, a senior media and publicity aide to President Muhammadu Buhari, has commended his principal's fatherly role in handling the EndSARS protest, saying thing would have degenerated into anarchy had he (Buhari) not exercised restraint and tolerance.
Speaking through his Thursday, November 12 article titled “We Have Not Many Fathers", Adesina attributed the relative calm being enjoyed after the protest to Buhari's patience.
The presidential aide noted that the country has “many tutors, many instructors, but not many fathers" and added that Buhari is one of the country's fathers.
Adesina said when the EndSARS protest was "prolonged and eventually hijacked and misdirected", the president was not angered but rather gave the security operatives the directives to deal with the issue with a prudent force.
