Babatunde Fashola, the minister of works and housing, may be invited to aid investigation into the alleged shooting of some #EndSARS protesters by soldiers at the Lekki Tollgate on Tuesday, October 20.
This is as one of the lawyers to the #EndSARS protesters, Adesina Ogunlana, made a request for the minister to appear before the panel regarding his “discovery” of a video camera at the scene of the incident.
PM News reports that the lawyer made the request while interrogating the managing director of Lekki Concession Company (LCC), Yomi Omomuwasan.
He asked the LLC boss if he was aware that Fashola found a camera at the scene of the incident.
However, the head of the LCC legal department, Gbolahan Agboluwaje, objected to the questioning, saying the MD doesn’t know anything about the discovered camera as he wasn’t there.
Ogunlana then asked if Fashola can be brought in for questioning.
The Nation also reported that Ogunlana, the #EndSARS lawyer made an oral request to the panel for Fashola to be invited to explain what happened to the camera he reportedly found.

How Fashola found the camera
A previous report by Legit.ng indicates that Fashola discovered the camera on Sunday, October 25, during an on-the-spot assessment at the tollgate.
The minister was said to have picked up the device with a handkerchief and handed it over to Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu for forensic analysis and further investigation.
Fashola said the device must have been placed there by some subversive elements with ulterior motives.
