With less than two months to the official handing over of US leadership mantle to Joe Biden, a crisis has hit the camp of the former vice president.
According to Business Insider also citing Politico, some members of Biden's campaign "are pissed off" that they might be axed out of the plan in the new presidency.
The projected president-elect is said to be tapping officials and close allies of former president Barack Obama into the White House jobs.
So far, Biden has tapped Obama administration officials for high-profile spots in legislative affairs, the first lady's office, and other departments.
Similarly in his cabinet, the president-elect has approved the selection of Antony Blinken as his secretary of state.
Blinken served as a deputy secretary of state and deputy national security adviser during the Obama administration.
Biden, 78, has also announced former secretary of state, John Kerry, as his climate czar, upsetting those in his camp.
Although there are thousands of vacant spaces to be occupied, a senior Biden official was reported to have been angered by the reality of "Obama men" dominating the top places in the coming presidency. The official stated:
"People who were not part of winning the hard-fought primary were placed before people who were part of that.
"The Obama staffers are now cutting out the people who got Biden elected. None of these people found the courage to help the VP when he was running and now they are elevating their friends over the Biden people."
