Jeff Richmond was born on 7th January 1961 in Kilsyth, West Virginia as Jeffrey Wayne Richmond. He grew up in Portage County, Ohio and his parents are Wayne Richmond and Blanche Richmond.
Education
The actor attended James A Garfield Highschool in Garrettsville. After completing his high school studies, he joined Kent State University in Ohio, where he graduated with a Bachelors degree.

Career
Before his debut as a director, he worked at the Second City and Child's Play Touring Theatre. He then became a music director for the late-night television variety show Saturday Night Live.
He also directed Promise Keepers, Losers Weepers and The Revelation Will Not Be Televised in 1998 and 1999, respectively.
Later on, in 2006, he composed and produced music for 30 Rock. He also made several appearances in the show, portraying a character called Alfonso Disperioso.
Jeff also composed the score of the romantic comedy film Baby Mama in 2008, starring Tina Fey. He also wrote several songs for the Broadway stage adaptation of Mean Girls in 2018.
