Siohvaughn Funches biography
Siohvaughn Funches was born on 6th September 1981 in Chicago, Illinois in the United States of America. Her parents are Frank Funches (father) and Darlene Funches (mother). She had a sister, Garrica LeAnna Woods, who died as a teenager.
Funches experienced a challenging period growing up as her parents divorced when she was only three years old. Later on, her sister LeAnna passed away when she was a teenager.
Siohvaughn Funches Wade studied at Harold L High School, Oak Lawn in her hometown in Chicago. After her high school graduation, she relocated to Wisconsin to stay with her boyfriend.

Husband and kids
Siohvaughn was married to Miami Heat basketball player and her high school sweetheart, Dwyane Wade. She met Dwyane for the first time in the fifth grade. The two started dating when she was only 15 years old.
After completing her high school studies, Dwyane and Funches moved into a two-bedroom apartment in Marquette, Wisconsin where he was attending college.
During their sophomore year, they had their firstborn child named Zaire on 4th February 2002. The duo exchanged their wedding vows on 18th May 2002. Later, the couple welcomed their second-born child, Zion Malachi Airimis Wade on 29th May 2007.
Divorce settlement and custody
A few months after the birth of their second-born child, Wade filed for divorce citing irreconcilable differences. This led to a lengthy court battle which took long to come to an end.
The NBA player filed for custody of their two children, Zaire and Zion. In 2011, a court in Chicago finally granted Wade sole physical and legal custody of the kids. The court granted Dwyane's ex-wife regular parenting time.
Siohvaughn received $5 million in the divorce settlement in 2013. Additionally, Dwyane gave her $25,000 per month and paid her mortgage and other maintenance requirements.
After receiving the $5 million, she staged a protest on the streets of Chicago. She held a hand-written sign that read:
