Matt Bennett was born on November 13, 1991, in Massapequa, New York, USA. He grew up in Long Island, New York alongside his sister, Ally Bennett. His parents divorced when he was still young.

Career in music
Matt began his music career as a way of dealing with the dissolution of his parents' union. The actor opted to channel the negative experience into something positive. This led to the creation of his debut album, Terminal Cases.
