Although Trump looked like he would pull the magic earlier having won 13 states, Biden overtook the incumbent president on the electoral vote scoresheet.

Sensing a possible defeat, Trump said he would never allow Biden to win the election as there was vote-stealing, with the US president's statement likely to incite violence. He stated:

"We are up BIG, but they are trying to steal the election. We will never let them do it. Votes cannot be cast after the Polls are closed."

In another tweet, Trump declared that Americans will be hearing from him on the election results.
