Education
He received his primary and secondary education at the Federal Government College Port Harcourt. Upon graduation from school, he enrolled in the University of Port Harcourt to study Civil Engineering.
Music career
Music has always been part of his life. He went into music at a young age.
The young boy was playing the drums in the local church. He was also a vocal coach and choir director.
Over time, his interest in music transformed into a strong engagement. Thus, he decided to take up music professionally.
Upon graduation from the university, he was mobilized for the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), where he was a sound instructor.
After that, he worked for Dolphins Studios, a Lagos-based music studio. This was when he worked to improve his singing and recording talents.
In 2006, he moved to Port Harcourt, where he started working for 360 Records.
After that, he moved to D Large Records. While working here and there, one day, he got acquainted with Chris Aire, a respected jeweller in Nigeria.

The musician released his first album – Koli Water – in 2008. Like any other musician, he has his distinguishing feature – he sings in the Ikwerre language, blended with English.
This Duncan Mighty album was a success. This encouraged him to work on his second album, Fully Loaded, which was released on 31 May 2009.
In January 2011, he released two albums titled 51lex Presents Dance for Me and Ahamefuna (Legacy).
Two years after, on 22 November 2013, he released his album, Footprints, made in collaboration with such prominent musicians like Shaggy, Otuu Sax, Sandaz Black, Timaya, and Wande Coal.
