Meanwhile, Dr Garus Gololo, a national chieftain of the All Progressive Congress (APC), has said those who want President Muhammad Buhari to address the nation over the attack on protesters at Lekki toll gate, Lagos, are hypocrites.

Gololo, at a press briefing in Abuja on Thursday, October 22 stated that the president had already addressed the aspiration of the protesting youth.

He said the best way to address a situation was to take action on a particular demand, which the president had done.

He advised the Nigerian youth, especially, the northerners to remain calm and law-abiding, adding that, it is only when the country is peaceful that they would enjoy the dividends of democracy they all laboured for.

Gololo had earlier condemned the call by Governor Samuel Ortom asking #EndSARS protesters to continue their nationwide procession.

Speaking to newsmen in Abuja on Tuesday, October 20, Gololo said, as the governor of a state that is terribly underdeveloped, what Ortom should concentrate on is the transformation of Benue.
