Actor Williams Uchemba marks birthday with heavy heart as he mourns fallen Nigerians

Celebrated Nigerian film star, Williams Uchemba, turned a new age on October 22, 2020, and unlike his usual cheery self, he told fans on social media that he woke up with a heavy heart.

The movie star was obviously not in a celebratory mood given the things that recently went down in the country as a result of the EndSARS protests.

In a post shared on Instagram, the actor said that the happy birthday messages hurt him because he knew in his heart that he was not truly happy.

The actor went ahead to share his only wish for the day. He said that he wishes the prayers in the country’s national anthem actually come alive and that the blood of the innocent does not become in vain.

In his words:

“I was born today many years ago, but I woke up with a very heavy heart. The happy birthday messages hurt because deep down in my heart I’m not happy. My only wish today is that our national anthem’s prayer comes alive in us and the blood of the innocents will not be in vain.”

In other similar news, Legit.ng reported that Nollywood actress, Nse Ikpe Etim, took to social media to mourn fallen Nigerians on her birthday.

She clocked a year older on October 22, 2020, and was not in a very celebratory mood considering the carnage that recently happened in the country.
