Kim Kardashian West, like many environmentalists, believes that the coronavirus has given planet earth some much-needed downtime. This statement has seen Kim trending and it is not because people agree with her either.
According to reports, Kim said that Covid-19 came about because the planet “needed a break”. While this could be a possibility, some felt that her statement was insensitive as many lives have been lost as a result of this virus.
Speaking to Grazia magazine, Kim expressed how she feels about the virus and that her belief is that it came to give our planet a rest that humanity was not allowing it.
“Maybe our planet needed a break. Maybe we all needed a break. Maybe this was the reset? I try to look at it that way.”
Kim is a lady who speaks her truth no matter what the opinions of others are. Fighting for what she believes in, Kim feels planet earth deserves a break and this virus has given it just a little of what it actually truly needs and deserves.
The planet is indeed in need of a break from pollution, overpopulation and overconsumption. However, no matter how many climate activists have stood up and expressed this, their cries have not been heard.
Hearing Kim call the coronavirus a ‘rest’ might be offensive and insensitive to some, but to others, it makes perfect sense as planet earth has been struggling.
Legit.ng previously reported that Kim Kardashian West tagged herself as lucky after sharing adorable snaps of her husband, Kanye West, with their four kids.
Her post comes amid unconfirmed rumours that she is planning to divorce the God is Good rapper over his numerous Twitter meltdowns.
