Covid-19: Buhari sends get-well-soon message to Trump, wife

President Muhammadu Buhari has sent a get-well-soon message to the president of the United States, Donald Trump, and his wife, Melania, who tested positive for COVID-19.
Garba Shehu, Buhari's senior special assistant on media and publicity said President Buhari noted that the COVID-19 incident in the White House manifests the challenges posed by the pandemic and the difficulty in containing its spread.
While wishing the president and his wife a speedy recovery, President Buhari called on Nigerians to comply with Covid-19 protocols and adhere to the advice of the health authorities.
Earlier, Legit.ng reported that the US president announced via Twitter on Friday, October 2, that he and his wife tested positive to the virus.
In a related development, the vice president of the United State, Mike Pence and his wife, Karen Pence have also tested negative for Covid-19.
Pence’s spokesperson, Devin O’Malley disclosed in a tweet on Friday, October 2, that the vice president and the Second Lady have been undergoing COVID-19 tests daily as a routine for months.
He said both of them tested negative in the latest diagnosis which was done on Friday morning, October 2.
O’Malley disclosed that Pence and his wife are in good health.

Meanwhile, Legit.ng previously reported that the founder, designer and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of SpaceX, Elon Reeve Musk, vowed that neither he nor any member of his family will take a coronavirus vaccine when it is finally produced.
Musk said he will not take the vaccine because he believes he and his children are not at any kind of risk.
The business mogul referred to the lockdown imposed by the Trump-led administration as a “no-win situation” which has dampened his faith in humanity.
