Gernot Rohr Invites U17 star Tijani, Winger Ejuke, Lawal For October Friendlies

- Chidera Ejuke, Samson Tijani and Tobias Lawal have the chance to make their first senior appearances for Nigeria
- The three-time African champions will play their friendlies on the October 9 and 12, 2020, in Austria

Gernot Rohr has invited three new players ahead of Super Eagles friendlies against Cote d'Ivoire and Tunisia on October 9 and 13, 2002 respectively, Complete Sports.
The trio includes CSKA Moscow's Chidera Ejuke, ex-Golden Eaglets captain Samson Tijani and goalkeeper Tobias Lawal.
Tijani who recently signed for Red Bull Salzburg has been loaned out to Austrian side TSV Hartberg while Lawal also plays in Austria with Linz.
On the other hand, Ejuke left Eredivisie outfit Heerenveen during the summer window to join Russian club CSKA Moscow. Rohr told ESPN:
“I invited two players from Austria. One of them you know him, Samson Tijani. He was the captain of our under 17 team that played the World Cup last year.
“He signed for Red Bull Salzburg, he is also midfielder 18 years old and he’s on the loan to TSV Hartberg, a first division club. But I’m not afraid to invite him especially because he’s in Austria already.
“Also, the goalkeeper, [20-year-old] Tobias Lawal. He’s a young goalkeeper, playing in Linz. He was on the bench for the European games. They had a very good European rally last year, they made it a good competition. And he played already sometimes, he was already in Austria [‘s side], under 20 but only a friendly.”
Both international friendlies with Cote d'Ivoire and Tunisia will be played in yet to be named venue in Austria next month.

Meanwhile, Legit.ng had earlier reported that Nigerian star Victor Osimhen made his debut for Napoli after making a huge money switch from Lille to the Serie A side.
Although he failed to find the back of the net, his introduction into the game in the 61st minute change the direction of the game for The Parthenopeans.
It took Gennaro Gattuso's men just two minutes after the 21-year-old came on for Diego Demme before finding the back of the net.
Napoli boss, Gattuso, was however delighted with Osimhen's display in the 29 minutes of the game time he got on his debut for his new club.
