Nollywood loses another member as veteran actress Louisa Nwobodo passes on

- The Nigerian movie industry has lost another member to the cold hands of death

- Louis Nwobodo, 78, passed away on Sunday, September 13, shortly after collapsing

- According to reports, the deceased’s body has been deposited at the morgue pending funeral arrangements

It is indeed a trying time for members of the Nigerian movie industry following the sudden death of veteran actress, Loisa Nwobodo.

Daily Post reports that the thespian left the world on Sunday, September 13.

Also confirming the death of the late Nollywood actress, ex-chairman of the Enugu chapter of Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN), Stan K Amadi, said that the actress died after she collapsed inside her car at St. Mulumbas Catholic Church, New Haven, Enugu.

The same media reported that Nwobodo was rushed to the hospital after she collapsed and was confirmed dead by healthcare workers.

Late Nwobodo’s body has been deposited at the morgue pending her funeral arrangements.

The deceased actress came into the limelight for her role in Nollywood movies Never Say Goodbye, Made in Cambridge, Indemnity among other productions.

This is not the first death of an actress that has been recorded in the movie industry this year.

Some weeks ago, Legit.ng reported that veteran Yoruba actress Musiliat Arikeusola died at the age of 67.

Osuntohun, as she was popularly known from the epic movie Koto Orun, died in her Osun state home on after losing a long battle of sickness.

Ademola Adedokun who is the secretary of Theatre Arts and Motion Pictures Practitioners Association of Nigeria (TAMPAN) in Osun state confirmed her passing to glory.
