The Nigerian movie industry seems to be the worst hit this year as another top actor Ayo Akinwale has been declared dead.
Akinwale, a Yoruba veteran actor, who is also a lecturer at the Department of the Performing Arts at the University of Ilorin, reportedly died on Sunday 13th of September 2020.
Many fans, followers, and students of the actor have taken to their various social media page to mourn him, however, not any of them mentioned what led to his sudden demise.

One of Akinwale's students called Raphael Niyi took to Facebook to share the impact of the lecturer on his department in the year 2000.
According to him, when his department, Performing Arts, was going to be merged with another department as a result of the low number of lecturers that they had, it was late actor Ayo Akinwale that came to their rescue.
"Suddenly, out of the blues, Baba Wella walked into the Dept! He has signed!!! He is back. Dr Ayo Akinwale salvaged the Department. No one cared whether the merger rumour was true. Our Dean and Carra are back. Life returned to the Department," Niyi wrote in his eulogy to the actor
A man called Davos Olatunji described the late actor as a teacher per excellence as he mourned his demise.
In other news, Legit.ng earlier reported that Koto Orun famous actress Musiliat Arikeusola died.
Popularly known as Osuntohun, she died at the age of 67 years in her house at Ijetu are of Osogbo in Osun state.
It was gathered that Osuntohun had battled with an undisclosed ailment for so many years which eventually led to her death.
The Yoruba movie actress became famous after playing roles of esoteric being, witches, in late Alhaji Yekinni Ajileye’s Koto Orun. Ademola Adedokun who is the secretary of Theatre Arts and Motion Pictures Practitioners Association of Nigeria in Osun state confirmed her passing to glory.
Aside from being an actress, late Osuntohun was also a movie producer. Some of the movies she produced include Omi Ipin, Imi Esin, and Ogun Omo Iyale which was said to be her last production and feature.
