Bishop Oyedepo advises women on marriage, asks them to submit to husband

- Bishop David Oyedepo of Winners' Chapel has said that women's submission to their husband is an important condition to have a good marriage

- The man of God said that even if the woman is highly placed than the man, total obedience is still a requirement

- According to the cleric, whenever a woman refuses to submit, she is acting in disobedience to God

The general overseer of Living Faith Church Worldwide aka Winners Chapel, Bishop David Oyedepo, has spoken on the issue of marriage and the place of a wife.

On his ministry’s Instagram page on Thursday, September 3, the man of God said that total submission from the wife to the husband is the only condition for a fruitful marriage.

The clergyman added that until that is done, every other thing the woman tries to do does not matter. He said that a woman who does not submit is disobeying her maker.

Bishop Oyedepo said the principle is also applicable to women who are ministers of the gospel. He said they still have to submit even if the man is not a minister.

Referencing the bible in Ephesians chapter 5 verse 22, the man of God said that an obedient wife is always precious to her husband.

The Instagram post partly read: "The only way to a fruitful marriage is total submission on the part of the wife. Until it is in place, every other thing she tries to do will be out of place.

"A woman who refuses to submit to her husband is disobeying God. As a woman, you might even be a minister of the gospel, and your husband is not, the Word of God still says to submit yourself to him..."

Meanwhile, Legit.ng earlier reported that Oyedepo and his wife, Faith, celebrated 38 years of being married to one another.

The man of God took to his Instagram page on Friday, August 21, with a lovely message dedicated to his dear wife on the special occasion.

In his message, he hailed his wife for being a virtuous woman and noted that the journey has been an awesome one with her by his side.

"Happy Wedding Anniversary to my lovely wife @officialfaithoyedepo The journey thus far has been awesome with you by my side. You have been the true definition of a virtuous woman. Myself, the children (biological and spiritual) and grandchildren all call you blessed indeed. 38 years gone, forever to go with you. I love you," he said.
