Controversial Nigerian rapper Naira Marley recently had some important words of advice for his female followers on social media.

The rapper in a post shared on his official page on Twitter advised ladies about the importance of working and earning their own money.

According to the Soapy crooner, doing so will prevent them from getting involved in unnecessary intimate sessions with men all in the bid to get rewarded with cash.

Upon sharing the tweet, members of the internet community had different things to say in the comment section.

"What about for people like us that are really and genuinely trying and yearning being focused to get the money and not seeing assistance, struggling to get through school, struggling to even feed. Naira Marley what will you say about that?" One female follower tweeted at the rapper.

Another lady who countered the rapper’s position said: “Take me for an example I am gifted I write songs know how to sing very well plus even do the motivational speech with all those talents there is no one to help me now tell me if I wasn't brought up well but do you expect me to do”
