One of Nigeria's foremost statemen, Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida, also popularly known as IBB, celebrated his Eid-el-Kabir with his immediate family, his children, and grandchildren and it was indeed a period of celebration for the family members of the ex-military president.
In photos shared by one of his daughters, Rahma Indimi, the former military president of the country could be seen surrounded by love. Three of his all grown children were in the family photograph with him to mark the year 2020 Sallah day celebration.
Also joining their grandfather in a group photograph are three of his grandchildren who all came to make the celebration memorable for the elder statesman.
Meanwhile, Legit.ng earlier reported that IBB reacted to the reports claiming he was searching for a new wife.
Asked in an interview if he was truly shopping for a new wife, the elder statesman said: “That’s what the media wanted. A lot of people asked me and I said that’s what you (media) said. It is not necessarily what I said.”
Babangida said since the demise of his wife, Maryam Babangida, in 2009, he copes with life by enjoying the company of his children. “I have very caring and understanding children; they try to fit in where their mother has left,” he said.
Legit.ng also reported that the first daughter of IBB, Aisha Babangida, recently turned 50 on May 25.
Taking to social media, Aisha in a short note expressed her appreciation to the almighty for granting her the love of family and friends. She also shared a video showing close to a dozen beautifully decorated cakes that were all sprawled out of a large dining table.
It was also reported that the Alaafin of Oyo took pictures with members of his family, and was later joined by seven of his beautiful, fair-skinned, younger wives in beautiful group photographs to mark the year 2020 Sallah celebration.
