Amazon sacked me because I asked for Sallah break - Man claims
- A young man who goes by the name Ismaeel said he was fired by Amazon just because he wanted a day off for Eid-el-Kabir
- The man said that he already agreed to work on the said day before the company threw him out
- Ismaeel also tweeted out a summary of his CV for anyone interested in hiring him

A Twitter user with the name Ismaeel has spoken about how he was sacked by Amazon because he asked for Friday off for the Sallah celebration.
It should be noted that the young man was just employed by the company and was billed to begin work on Wednesday, July 29.
In a response tweet, the young man said that when he realised that his request did not sit well with the management, he agreed to work the shift.
To his surprise, however, he was told that they have found a replacement for him because he was being a very difficult worker.

Meanwhile, Legit.ng earlier reported that the Nigerian federal government declared Thursday, July 30 and Friday, July 31, as the public holiday to mark the year 2020 Eid-el-Kabir celebration.
The minister of interior Rauf Aregbesola congratulated Muslim faithful and all Nigerians both at home and abroad on the occasion.
He also called on Muslims to continue to embody the spirit of love, peace, kindness and sacrifice, as exemplified by the Holy Prophet Muhammad (Peace be upon Him) and to also use the period to pray for peace, unity, prosperity and the stability of the country especially as the world is witnessing global health challenges caused by the Covid-19 pandemic.

In other news, Nigerian Dara Oladosu succeeded and made the country really proud as he got a big job from Twitter.
The announcement of the appointment was made at the tech meetup that was held in Lagos where Jack, the owner of Twitter, and other executives were present.
During the meeting, the executives were introduced to the Nigerian developer who created a special twitter bot called QuotedReplies.
In talking about how he built the special computer programme, he said in October the bot had a massive 40 million impressions.
One of the executives, Kayvon Beykpour, of the short messaging platform was so impressed with Dara’s work that he offered him a job to come build a feature for twitter.
