Nigerian woman who waited over 5 years for a child dies during childbirth

What was meant to be a day of joy for a Nigerian family turned tragic as a pregnant woman identified as Rita lost her life during childbirth, leaving her family and friends heartbroken.

Twitter user, @ceejayboss1, took to the micro-blogging platform to share the tragic news of his younger sister's death. Ceejayboss who described her as a positive woman said she lived a simple life.

He wrote: "Truly blood is blood... I felt something wasn't right last night...never knew you were struggling for dear life...You lived a very simple life... Always smiling and looked forward to so many things. Sometimes I just wonder how God does His own things... But can I question Him?"

Ceejayboss went on to reveal he would dedicate a part of his life praying for pregnant women from the moment of conception to when they put to bed.

According to him, many people celebrate with women when they give birth but not so many see the pain they go through and how risky the whole process is.

In what could be described as the family's only consolation, his sister's baby survived. Ceejayboos said in another tweet that he would tell his nephew all about hid mother and how she prayed for over 5 years for a child.

According to him, God called her to heaven to watch over her newborn son.

"My nephew survived... I will tell you how sweet and lively your mummy was... How she prayed for over 5 years asking God for a child. And just when she was ready to welcome u, hug you and kiss you; God took her to heaven so she can watch over you from there," he tweeted.

In a similar story, what was meant to be a beautiful period for a new mum and her family, turned tragic as she lost her life hours after becoming a mother for the first time.

Twitter user, Sarki Suleiman had earlier taken to the micro-blogging platform to announce that his aunt recently welcomed a set of triplets after waiting for almost 9 years.

He shared the news at 1am on June 26. However, he returned to quote the tweet with news of her death, barely 9 hours after sharing the good news.
