The Yoruba entertainment industry has been thrown into mourning as yet another movie actor has died.

Singer and Yoruba movie actor, Yusuf Satia has been announced dead by fellow actor, Kunle Afod. The news was shared via his Instagram page on July 21, 2020.

Afod expressed his heartbreak over the news, revealing he had plans to see Satia and celebrate him but had the plans destroyed by the news.

Sharing an old photo of Satia, he wrote: "So sad to hear this ...RIPYusuf satia Is gone...Tried so much to see you this year and celebrate you but it was aborted...Continue to rest on."

Satia was known for his role in an old Yoruba movie titled, Ijinle Pam Pam. Other actresses like Toyin Adewale and Bose Alao reacted with shock and sadness over his passing

The cause of Satia's death is yet to be known.

Only a while ago, Nollywood was faced with another tragedy after losing a popular actor and scriptwriter, Gbenga Ajumoko.

The actor reportedly passed away months after battling with two chronic ailments. The actor, who was from Ijebu, Ogun state, was said to have been hospitalised for over six months after he was diagnosed.

He was being treated at a hospital in Sagamu, Remo in Ogun state. According to reports, Ajumoko was diagnosed with kidney failure and diabetes disease. It was also reported that the actor was earlier diagnosed with hypertension, which led to the failure of his kidneys.

Legit.ng also reported the sad passing of actor Gbolagade Akinpelu popularly known as Ogun Majek.

The veteran movie star who is known for his role in Yoruba movies was announced to have died on Thursday, June 25, at his Imalenfalafia residence in Ibadan, Oyo state.

Ogun Majek’s death was also confirmed by comic actor and president of Theatre Arts and Movie Practitioners Association of Nigeria (TAMPAN), Bolaji Amusan, who is mostly known as Mr Latin.
