Dbanj sues Seyitan Babatayo for N1.5 billion

- According to court documents sent to Legit.ng, Dbanj is requesting the sum of N1b for general damages and N500million for punitive and exemplary damages

The drama between popular Nigerian musician Dapo Oyebanjo popularly known as Dbanj and a lady identified as Seyitan Babatayo; who accused him of sexual abuse, appears to have taken a complete turn.
Just recently, the multiple award winning singer through his lawyer, Mike Ozekhome, sued Seyitan for the sum of N1.5 billion.
In addition, Seyitan is also expected to make an appearance in court within thirty days of which failure to do so may result in judgement being passed in her absence.
According to the court documents sent to Legit.ng, Dbanj is requesting the sum of N1 billion representing the general damages which were brought upon him by virtue of the tweets and publications put out by Seyitan.

"An order directing the defendant to pay the claimant, the sum of N1, 000,000,000.00 (One Billion Naira) only, representing general damages over the untold embarrassment, derision, public ridicule, odium, oloquy, marital disharmony, mental agony and psychological trauma which the defendant’s tweets and publication have caused the claimant," the document read in part.
The singer is also requesting another N500 million from his accuser for aggravated punitive and exemplary damages.

Recall that some days ago, Legit.ng reported that Seyitan Babalola released an official statement on social media following her arrest. In the statement, the young lady gave the timeline of events that occurred since she came out with her story of alleged abuse by Dbanj.
Seyitan confirmed that she was unjustly arrested by police officers who gained access to her apartment by pretending to be delivery men. In addition, she alleged that she was released after signing a gag order by the police and the singer’s team.
