APC axes Giadom with suspension days after declaring self national chairman

Victor Giadom, the Rivers politician who recently declared himself national chairman of the governing but troubled All Progressives Congress, has been suspended.
The Nation stated this in its report in the evening of Sunday, June 21, saying Giadom was suspended over allegations of gross disobedience of the APC constitution.
The former deputy national secretary was hit with the sanction by the party's branch in Rivers state.
Giadom had recently declared himself the chairman of the political body after the suspension of Admas Oshiomhole.
The report quoted Livingstone Wechie, spokesperson to the acting chairman of the party in the state, Igo Aguma, as giving the confirmation.
According to Wechie, Giadom was suspended after a committee investigated the allegations against him and came up with its report.
“The committee recommended that Victor Giadom be immediately suspended from the party and every party activities for his numerous infractions of the Party Constitution and conduct, which have brought the Party irredeemable disrepute.
“That Victor Giadom should immediately write a letter of apology to the party and same should be published in three national Newspapers.
“The Committee report which was presented to our state Executive Committee meeting was accepted and adopted as the position of the APC in Rivers state," he said.

Legit.ng earlier reported how Comrade Adams Oshiomhole, embattled and suspended head of the All Progressives Congress (APC), accused Rivers state politician, Victor Giadom, of a plot to kill the party.
The Nation quoted Oshiomhole as making the allegation in Abuja, Nigeria's capital city, saying that Giadom was targeting destroying the APC at the national level the way the latter's group allegedly ruined it in Rivers.
The report had credited Oshiomhole as claiming that Giadom was ready to scatter the APC the way his group allegedly ruined the APC in Rivers state while the country prepared for the 2019 general elections.
