- Legendary Nigerian singer, Dbanj, was recently accused by a lady named Seyitan of raping her in 2018

- It was also alleged on social media that the singer got the young lady arrested and is trying to intimidate her with his influence

Issues of rape and sexual abuse are not ones to be taken lightly and it comes as a shock that most people would rather ignore the situation when their favourite celebrity is the one being accused of committing such a terrible crime.

Legendary Nigerian singer Dapo Oyebanjo, also known as Dbanj, was recently accused on social media by a young lady named Seyitan, of raping her in 2018.

Reports later made the rounds on social media that the singer had gotten the young lady arrested and also trying to intimidate her with his influence after tweets giving an account of the alleged rape were deleted from her page.

The young lady, Seyitan’s page also shared a promotional video of Dbanj’s new song, a video that had not yet been posted on the singer’s page. This led to many Nigerians on social media saying that the lady was not in charge of her social media accounts and that the singer’s actions make him look suspicious.

Well, a number of Nigerian celebrities have finally taken to social media to react to the abuse allegations against one of their colleagues.

Just recently, Legit.ng reported that Dbanj's old friend and former business partner, Don Jazzy, also reacted to the rape allegations against the singer.

In a recent Twitter thread, the music boss expressed that the truth would always come out no matter how long a lie lasts. According to him, one of them (between D'banj and his accuser, Seyitan) is the victim and that the law will protect them.

Don Jazzy made it clear where he stood on the issue of rape and injustices against women as he urged victims to speak out and report to the appropriate authorities.
