Sotayo Gaga accused of encouraging fraud after declaring support for Hushpuppi, deletes IG post

- Nollywood actress Sotayo Sobola recently joined some other celebrities who showed support for Ray Hushpuppi

- However, shortly after sharing the solidarity post, the actress received backlash and yanked it off her page

Following the alleged arrest of Dubai-based Nigerian, Ray Hushpuppi, by the Interpol and FBI on a fraud related case, some Nigerian celebrities took to social media to show support for him and one such celebrity is actress Sotayo Sobola aka Sotayo Gaga.

The actress in her post had called out people who have been peddling wrong information about Hushpuppi and noted that nobody is holy. According to her, social media users have been tagging her since his arrest and she noted that while she does not condone fraud, she will never deny a friend.

Shortly after sharing the post, the actress was called out by Nigerians as they accused her of encouraging fraud and showing support for those who are involved in scamming others of their hard earned money.

This was followed by the movie star yanking off the post in support of Hushpuppi from her verified Instagram page.

In a bid to clear herself, the actress returned with a new post in which she strongly noted that she does not condone fraud. She also disclosed that her man asked her to take the Hushpuppi post off her page.

Sharing the post, the Nollywood actress said: "Oga say make I delete. I am not in support of fraudulent Acts but please lets start minding our businesses."
