Earlier on, there were rumours circulating the internet that Nollywood veteran and thespian, Olu Jacobs, had passed on. These rumours have turned out to be false.
His wife and fellow Nollywood veteran, Joke Silva confirmed the news to be indeed fake. Speaking to journalists, Silva described the news as depressing, adding that her husband is alive and well.
The actress who disclosed that her hubby will clock a new age in July revealed that she had been receiving calls from friends and associates who wanted to know if the report was true.

She also warned people to desist from spreading falsehood.

The Nigerian entertainment industry is no doubt endowed with a lot of talented individuals and some of them have been in the business for a long time and now serve as mentors to others.
However, death is a reality that every human being must face and even talented individuals are not left out.
Much to the relief of many, the rumours of Jacobs' death turned out to be false.
Other celebrities took to their social media platforms to set things right as they laid the bad news to rest.
Talented actress, Kate Henshaw, took to her Twitter page to warn others to stop spreading false news. She said that the people who spread fake news have no idea how many emotions they toyed with. Kate also added that Olu Jacobs is alive and well.
Meanwhile, on Thursday, May 22, Lagos government inaugurated the state’s Post-COVID-19 Pandemic Review Committee and Silva was made chairman to head the committee.
The talented Nollywood star shared the news via her Instagram page, much to the excitement of her fans and followers.
According to Peco Hub media who broke the news, the committee was inaugurated to reactivate the tourism, arts, and culture sector of the state.
