Meanwhile, the Presidential Task Force (PTF) on COVID-19 has disclosed that the next stage in the fight against the coronavirus pandemic would be driven by state governments.
The chairman of the task force, Boss Mustapha, made the disclosure on Sunday evening, May 31, shortly after a meeting with Buhari, The Nation reported.
Mustapha noted that the local government, the traditional institutions, and religious leaders will play an important role in checking the spread of the virus.
Mustapha also revealed the next line of action by the PTF would depend on the orders from Buhari after he must have considered the recommendations put before him by the PTF.

In another news report, it was a sad day for the country as another Nigerian doctor has died after treating a coronavirus patient in Jigawa state.
According to The Cable, Dr. Naseer Adam with the Federal Medical Centre, Birnin Kudu, Jigawa state, died on Saturday, May 30, of symptoms suspected to be COVID-19.
The Kano state-based medical doctor said to have died after treating a patient who had acute respiratory infection at the health facility. However, the patient later tested positive for COVID-19.
Adam was later admitted at the hospital after he also exhibited symptoms of the disease including running nose and dry cough. He was admitted to the emergency section of a hospital and died while receiving treatment.
Still on health, the National Orientation Agency (NOA) has revealed the major reason why the number of confirmed infected persons is increasing.
The agency in a tweet on Tuesday, May 26, said the only reason coronavirus cases are going up is because we do not take responsibility by following partial lockdown guidelines the COVID-19 Presidential Task Force (PTF) put in place.
The NOA went to urge Nigerians to follow the preventive guidelines and instructions in order to stay safe.
