Nollywood actress Emilia Dike is dead. 2020 has been a very difficult year for the Nollywood industry. Not just because of the inability to go about their usual activities that the coronavirus pandemic caused, but also for losing many of their own.

The first few months of this years have seen many painful exits in the film industry. According to online reports, Emilia slumped and died in Enugu state on Wednesday, May 20, 2020.

Emilia's death was confirmed by movie director, Okechukwu Oku, who shared the news on his official Instagram page. Describing her death as a painful loss, the film director questioned why death is taking away the best people.

According to him, he had major interactions with the actress before suddenly hearing the news of her demise. Okechukwu revealed that Emilia acted in his last two projects and he was really excited about releasing the creative work.

Noting his confusion at the sad news, the movie director described the late film star as a woman of gold. According to him, the movie industry has lost a gem.

The mourning director also described the news of Emilia's death as horrible, noting that he would miss her greatly.

The actress is known for movies like Ignorant couples, Dust of yesterday, Kings Guard, Where Money Never Sleep 1, and 2, among others.
