Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the national leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has hailed President Muhammadu Buhari for appointing Kashim Ibrahim-Imam as the chairman, Board of Trustees of the Tertiary Education Trust Fund (TETFUND).
Legit.ng gathered that the former Lagos state governor also commended the president and minister of education Adamu Adamu for their prudence in making an excellent choice.
The national leader of the ruling party who congratulated Ibrahim-Imam over his appointment said the PDP governorship candidate is bringing on board his high cognitive abilities and immense skills.
This was disclosed in a statement released by Tinubu's media office and signed by Tunde Rahman on Wednesday, May 20.
According to Tinubu, Ibrahim-Imam has the right qualities to make a huge difference in the organization.
He said: "He horned his administrative and managerial skills over years of constant learning, and engagement in the corporate sector.
"From my years of close relationship with him, I know that with his tenacity, courage, conviction, innovative ideas and commitment to the development of tertiary education in Nigeria, he has the right qualities to make a huge difference at this important organisation."
It would be recalled that President Buhari assented the appointment of Ibrahim-Imam as chairman, board of trustees of TETFUND.
Ibrahim-Imam, a well-respected politician, was the governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Borno state in the 2003 and 2007 gubernatorial elections respectively.
The news of his appointment was contained in a letter dated Thursday, May 14, directed to him by Adamu Adamu, minister of education.

Earlier, Legit.ng reported that Tinubu praised President Buhari for appointing Prof. Ibrahim Agboola Gambari as the new chief of staff. The former governor of Lagos in a statement described the appointment as a laudable one.
According to him, Gambari has served Nigeria in many important positions. Going further, he added that his intellect, broad experience and skills in administration and diplomacy have adequately prepared and equipped him for the important job he now has.
He said: "I congratulate Professor Gambari on his selection and commend President Buhari for making such a thoughtful and prudent choice at this crucial moment. Prof. Gambari will work competently and with dedication to help President Buhari advance his policy and governance priorities just as he did in the past when he served as Minister of External Affairs in the 1980’s."
