Social media users have been celebrating some amazing birthdays recently. Keeping up with the trend, a man took to social media to celebrate his grandmother's birthday. The elderly woman is now a whopping 116 years old.

Oscar O Saintz took to the #ImStaying group on Facebook to wish his grandmother well on her special day. In his post, he mentioned that she was turning 116.

"Help me wish her a happy birthday and God bless! #ImStaying," he posted.

Fellow Facebook users joined him in wishing the lovely lady a wonderful day. Facebook user Kholiswa Ngumbela said: "Happy Birthday Makhulu Womntu."

Meanwhile, Legit.ng earlier reported that an 87-year-old man caught the attention of the public after he decided to sell houses and parcels of land he had given his children.

Simon Kamakia from Arusha, Tanzania, said he took the controversial decision after his own children failed to attend his wedding.

It was gathered that Simon married a second wife after the mother to his children passed on in 2015.

He further noted that he sold all the land where his children and relatives lived since they did not support his decision to remarry.

“I had already fenced my place ahead of construction. He wanted to relocate my brother to my place so he sells his land to ...who works at Tanesco," he said.
