COVID-19: 'Zombie Angelina Jolie' Instagram star on ventilator in prison

Popular Iranian Instagram sensation, Sahar Tabar is reportedly battling for her life in prison after reports surfaced claiming she has been put on a ventilator in prison after contracting the dreaded coronavirus.
Due to rise in the number of coronavirus cases in Iran, the government released 85,000 prisoners in order to contain the virus.
However, the US-based Center For Human Rights in Iran said a judge in the country refused to grant Tabar bail despite the fact that coronavirus is rife in the country's prisons.
According to reports, the 22-year-old was arrested in October 2019, on charges including blasphemy, inciting violence, gaining income through inappropriate means and encouraging youths to corruption.

'We find it unacceptable that this young woman has now caught the coronavirus in these circumstances while her detention order has been extended during all this time in jail," human rights lawyer Payam Derafshan told the organization on April 15.
Tabar whose real name is Fatemeh Khishvand, shot into limelight after it was reported she had done 50 surgeries to make her look like Oscar-winning American actress Angelina Jolie.
She later revealed that her grotesque look was mostly achieved using makeup and editing.

On the true nature of her condition in prison, Judge Mohammad Moghiseh reportedly denied Sahar's release on bail on several occasions, even as the kingdom went on to declare more than 70,000 coronavirus cases.

"It makes no sense to deny this. The prison director should acknowledge the infection and admit she has been hospitalized," he said as he revealed the authorities claim she has not caught the virus.
He also added that Sahar and other inmates who have been put in prison on non-violent charges should also be released because of the outbreak.
