Comedian AY Makun hosts giveaway after facing backlash from fans for supporting Funke Akindele

- Nigerian comedian Ayo ‘AY’ Makun, has now done something to make fans on Twitter pleased with him

- The funny man hosted a giveaway for some of his fans on Twitter

- This came after the comedian had been dragged by Nigerians on the same Twitter for showing support for Nollywood actress, Funke Akindele

Nigerians are already special people, but the ones on Twitter are an even more special breed. They have been known to make even the most seemingly powerful people balk at their force and carefree way with words.

A number of celebrities would rather interact with fans on Instagram rather than on Twitter and those who are bold enough to be on the app walk on eggshells as they hope not to offend anybody.

Just recently, Nigerian comedian, AY Makun, was dragged by Twitter users after he spoke up on the arraignment of Nollywood actress, Funke Akindele for hosting a birthday house party despite the government’s directive on social distancing due to the coronavirus pandemic.

AY had said that those who called out the actress and clamoured for her arrest should also do the same for their oppressive government.

This did not go down well with a lot of Twitter users and they dragged the comedian for it.

Well, to appease these angry Nigerians on Twitter, AY decided to give out money to some of his fans. He however warned that those who insulted him should not be part of those to drop their account numbers.

He wrote: “If una one kuku kill me, make una kill me here today. This Giveaway must have Terms & Conditions as I send 10k each to random accounts. If your tweets join d detrimental ones wey give me chest pain, just withdraw your account details now, before I send u thunder.”
