The Nigerian government recently addressed its citizens and made an order for them to stay at home due to the coronavirus pandemic that is raging all over the world.
Thousands of people have already lost their lives to the disease all over the world as it has no cure yet. In order to stop the spread, the government advised that people should stay at home and isolate themselves as they work on locating people who are already down with the virus.
Well, a number of Nigerians have already adhered to the stay at home order albeit reluctantly. Just recently, Nollywood actress, Ada Ameh, took to social media to passionately appeal to the government to fix up.
The actress complained bitterly about how basic things such as electricity do not work in the country. Ameh said that many people used everything they have on them to buy foodstuff just to stock up during this period and to also buy fuel.
She however also noted that since yesterday a lot of people had to run their generators from dawn to dusk because there has been no electricity.
Ameh said that the situation is so bad and that the government should at least leave the light now that everybody is at home and have nowhere to go.
At a point in the video, the actress let out tears of frustration as she called on the government to act right and do their part.
In her caption, she wrote: "Let there Be LIGHT.
As we stay at home &try as much as we can to do the needful fighting this common enemy of the globe, Corona virus(covid19), please ask all the federal government to give us constant light. This will also encourage people ¬ feel too bad at this point in time."
