The governor of Bauchi state, Bala Mohammed, has said he is doing great in isolation after testing positive for the deadly coronavirus.
Mohammed who disclosed this information on his official Facebook page on Friday, March 27, thanked everyone for their love and concern which he has received.
While giving an update on his condition, the governor noted that he is not showing any symptoms of the virus. He urged the people not to relent in prayers as this phase will be over shortly.
Mohammed while telling the people of Bauchi state that they shall overcome all the tribulations, assured them that their leader remains strong and in good spirit.
He said: "Allah is the Greatest. He is Sufficient and Merciful. May these tests be the utmost expiation for our sins, limitations and inadequacies. Be assured that your servant Kaura is strong, capable and equal to the task. I am sound, calm and in good spirit.
By Allah's grace, the challenges are surmountable. InshaAllah, we shall overcome. With humility and gratitude, I wish all the people of Bauchi and Nigeria Allah's bountiful blessings, prosperity and protection from the scourge of sickness, insecurity and poverty."
This development is coming two days after Yakubu Dogara, the former speaker of the House of Representatives, said the Bauchi governor is doing okay without any adverse manifestation of the deadly coronavirus symptoms.
Dogara disclosed this information on his official Facebook page on Wednesday, March 25, after he got in touch with the governor.

Legit.ng previously reported that two persons who had contact with the governor of Bauchi state have also tested positive for COVID-19 in the state.
This was disclosed in a situation update given by the state commissioner for health, Aliyu Maigoro, while addressing newsmen in Bauchi, the state capital on Thursday, March 26.
Twenty-seven people who had contact with Governor Mohammed were earlier placed on compulsory self-isolation in the state.
In other news, the son of Atiku Abubakar, Mohammed Atiku Abubakar, has denied claims that he shook hands with the governor of Bauchi, while on a plane they both boarded on Wednesday, March 18.
Speaking with journalists, the former vice president's son said that he never had physical contact with Governor Mohammed who was said to have travelled with him from Lagos to Abuja on the said date.
