Meanwhile, Legit.ng earlier reported that the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) confirmed five new cases of the raging coronavirus in the country as Rivers state gets its first case.
The NCDC said two of the new cases are in Lagos, two are in Abuja while the remaining one is in Rivers state.
With the new confirmed cases, Nigeria now has 51 cases with two patients discharged and one death, as of Wednesday evening, March 25.
Legit.ng also gathered that since the confirmation of the index case of the novel coronavirus in Lagos, the Nigerian government has been telling the citizens not to panic, giving assurance that everything is under control.
However, as the number of Covid-19 cases in the country increases, Nigerians put pressure on the federal government to restrict movements into the country.
The Nigerian government responded by placing a travel ban on countries with over 1,000 confirmed Covid-19 cases, including the United States and the United Kingdom.
