Coronavirus: Chinese father builds 'baby pod' to protect infant from disease

- A father has made a custom-built pod complete with an air purification system to keep his baby safe from coronavirus

As the world continues to find a solution for the coronavirus pandemic, a father of a two-month-old infant in Shanghai has created a custom-built pod complete with an air purification system to keep his baby safe from coronavirus.

The 30-year-old father Cao Junjie refashioned a cat carrier to make the sealable pod that includes an air-quality monitor displaying the concentration of carbon dioxide inside.

The father told Reuters: “Because of the epidemic, I spent a month making this baby safety pod for my kid ... It can provide a safe and comfortable environment for the baby."

Legit.ng gathers that Cao's wife identified as Fang Lulu said she initially was not sure if the baby would be comfortable inside the pod.

She said: “I think the baby pod he made is pretty safe. We have tried it several times, so I feel relieved.

“Because of the epidemic, I spent a month making this baby safety pod for my kid ... It can provide a safe and comfortable environment for the baby."

In other news, a woman simply identified as Emma took to Twitter to share a photo on Saturday, March 21. Her brother, Míchéal, held his newborn son, Faolán.

Míchéal stood at a window and his father was outside looking at his grandson for the very first time.

Legit.ng previously reported that a three-year-old girl simply identified as Arya thanked everyone fighting against the spread of coronavirus and assured that everything will be okay.

Arya advised people to not go out unless they really have to, adding that they should always wash their hands and put on their masks.

She said: "Thanks to our frontliners who helping those who are already suffering because of the virus, and those who are helping the ones in need. Let's help the world heal. And stay home, don't go out unless you really have to."

Arya also advised against hoarding of alcohol, saying such practice is bad.

The little girl added: "Stay positive, always smile. Pray because Papa God is with us. Everything will be okay. I love you."
