Coronavirus: Nigerians call out Davido for not self-isolating as he visits Ibadan

David Adeleke, professionally known as Davido, is currently receiving heat from many Nigerians on the internet. This comes after several reports of his recent visit to Ibadan surfaced online, amidst the spread of coronavirus.
Recall Legit.ng earlier reported that Oyo State announced its first confirmed coronavirus case shortly after midnight on Sunday, March 22. Well, it looks like Davido may have missed an opportunity to use his voice to help sensitize people about the virus.
According to Premium Times, the Good Time crooner visited at least 3 different events in the city's capital, shortly after he paid a courtesy visit to the governor, Seyi Makinde.

It has been reported that Davido first appeared at a wedding in Ibadan earlier in the afternoon. Later in the day, he was seen at Club Derok and Stone Café, both in Ibadan, according to those who attended and multimedia shared online.

Many Nigerians however, are not happy about this and they have taken to social media to lambaste both Davido and Seyi Makinde for what they tagged careless and selfish on the part of the singer.

Neither Davido nor his management has spoken out on the issue.
This comes shortly after Makinde apologised to the general public, saying he takes "responsibility for that lapse in judgement", following a whirlpool of backlashes that trailed the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP)'s 'unification rally' in Oyo.
The southwest region of the PDP had on Wednesday, March 18, held a rally in Ibadan, Oyo state capital at Mapo Hall to welcome a score of defectors including former governor of Osun state Olagunsoye Oyinlola and former deputy governor of Oyo state Taofeek Arapaja.
Meanwhile, as the spread of COVID-19 also known as coronavirus continues to spread in Nigeria at an alarming rate, many Nigerians have been thrown into fear, many of whom have resorted to protecting themselves in various ways.
