A Nigerian man identified as Ike Eweama has made the country proud after being promoted to the rank of colonel in the United States Army.
Legit.ng gathers that Colonel Eweama is a PhD holder whose service in the US Army earned him the promotion.
Eweama was born in Lagos, Nigeria and is a decorated member of the United States military.
In recent times, Nigerian nationals living abroad have been changing the narrative of the country for good, a development that has made citizens proud of being associated with the country.
In other news, a Nigerian lady who appears to be fed up with the situation of things in Nigeria has said her belief in the country is gradually dying.
The lady identified as Rosemary Egbo took to her LinkedIn page to disclose that she is happy to learn that a lot of hardworking people she knows are travelling out of the country.
Egbo, who disclosed her friend also recently travelled to Australia, said she would have been a little sad that these people have left the shores of the country, but she is happy for them.
She said: "But it was unlike me. Some months ago, I would have been a little sad that a lot of hardworking people I know are running to other nations for refuge, but I'm just happy for them.
"When it comes to #Nigeria, I'm very positive, but I see that side of (sic) dying by the day. This is a place where you have to put in more than your best to enjoy the basic needs of life."
Egbo lamented the federal government's borrowing habit, saying such borrowing does not have a positive impact in the people's lives.
