- Nigerian actress, Kate Henshaw, has taken to social media to ask fans an important question
- The film star wanted to know why some people bury their dead in tiled graves, expensive coffins with 24 hours electricity
- Henshaw concluded her post by saying she likes how Muslims bury their dead
Just like weddings, burial ceremonies are also very big deals in many parts of the world, particularly in Africa. Death is something that would come for every individual but it does not always influence how the people cherish their loved ones while they are still alive.
When death finally comes, a number of people suddenly regret all their times together that was not well spent and now start go above and beyond to prove their love for the deceased after they are no longer here.
Perhaps this feeling that one will never get to spend time with someone who is already late is why many people throw lavish burial ceremonies.
Some people even go as far as making up for their dead and dressing them up in the best of outfits and also putting them in expensive gold coffins just to give them the appropriate send forth.
Nollywood actress, Kate Henshaw, has taken to social media via her Twitter page to speak on this. According to the film star, she does not understand why people bury their dead in a tiled grave with 24 hours electricity supply as well as an expensive coffin.
Speaking further, the Nollywood actress revealed that she likes the way Muslims bury their dead. Muslims have been known to wash their dead and wrap them in a simple white cloth before putting them in the ground.
Kate Henshaw wrote: “We pay lip service to the words in our holy book. Why are you burying the dead in a tiled grave, 24 hours electricity and such an expensive coffin? Are they expected to wake to move around?? Let them rest in peace truly. I like the Muslim way of burial."
